Joe Neal graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1981 and began practicing in Oshawa as a sole practitioner in 1984. In October of 2006 he formed the firm Neal & Mara, Barristers & Solicitors with Kevin Mara.
Joe is a former Trustee with a local school board and the former Chair of the Research Ethics Board at Lakeridge Health. He is also a Regional Councillor for Clarington for wards 1 and 2.
Joe has a wide variety of experience in all aspects of law, including real estate, civil and estate litigation, family, criminal law, labour, and corporate and commercial law. Joe’s practice has involved considerable transactional work on the purchase, sale, and financing of small to medium sized companies, and he provides ongoing advice to corporate clients. Kevin Mara worked in management with a large Canadian retailer for 18 years before beginning his career in law. Kevin graduated from Dalhousie University Law School in 1998 and joined one of Durham’s largest firms in January 2000 as an associate solicitor. In October 2006 he formed a new firm in Oshawa, Neal & Mara, Barristers & Solicitors with Joe Neal.
Kevin provides services to individuals and businesses in residential and commercial real estate, corporate and commercial matters, and estate planning and administration. He is a former President, Vice President, member of the Executive Committee and Director on the Board for the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce (2004-2014). He is a past Director of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade and a past Director and Chair of Business Advisory Centre Durham His education includes Durham College (Human Resources Management 1989) and Dalhousie UniversityLaw School (LL.B. 1998).

Corinna Traill graduated from the University of Toronto summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, double major in Greek and Latin in 2006, and from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Juris Doctor in 2011. After volunteering and working with the Community Advocacy and Legal Centre in Belleville, Ontario where she assisted low-income residents in employment, human rights, landlord & tenant and social benefits law, Corinna completed her Articles of Clerkship with one of Canada's leading labour law firms, CaleyWray Labour & Employment Lawyers where she represented public and private sector trade unions. Corinna was called to the Ontario Bar in January, 2013 and she practices as a Sole Practitioner in Association with Neal & Mara. Corinna is also currently serving her 2nd term as the Local Councillor for Ward 3 in Clarington and she ran as the Liberal candidate in the 2015 federal candidate in the Riding of Durham. Corinna started her own practice in Association with Neal & Mara with the goal of making Bay Street expertise available at affordable rates. She has experience in many aspects of law, including criminal law, estate litigation, family law and civil litigation. She also has extensive expertise in the following fields of labour and employment law: wrongful dismissal, social benefits law, employment standards complaints, occupational health and safety, grievance arbitration, human rights law and employment insurance appeals.
